Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Nuclear Safety Engineer Supervisor to lead the Nuclear Safety Engineering team remotely from Oak Ridge, TN, Aiken, SC or Richland, WA. The role ensures compliance with safety analyses, TSRs, and DSAs while managing schedules, budgets, and personnel development.

Responsibilities include coordinating multidisciplinary efforts, maintaining documents, and guiding engineers and project managers to meet project objectives.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in engineering or equivalent technical discipline with 6+ years of relevant work experience.
• MS/MA in engineering or equivalent technical discipline with 4+ years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the discipline's engineering with that of other disciplines.
• Maintain records, files and other documents pertaining to the discipline.
• Ensure engineering documents comply with applicable state laws/regulations and affix engineer seal when required.
• Assign preparers and checkers for discipline specifications and coordinate review of external specifications.
• Establish schedules and budgets to meet project requirements and obtain approval.
• Maintain technical coordination with the Principal Engineer to ensure adherence to industry codes and regulatory requirements.
• Direct the preparation and submit periodic reports and forecasts on the status of the discipline.
