Job summary

X-energy LLC is hiring HVAC Mechanical Design Engineers to design and develop mechanical systems and components, ensuring compliance with technical specs and program requirements. You will work on identifying requirements, conceptualizing system architecture, and drafting documentation from design basis to drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (ABET accredited) is required.
• Experience with HVAC process equipment design and systems engineering.
• Knowledge of nuclear power plant licensing, regulatory, quality and safety requirements.
• Typically, senior level years of experience in mechanical engineering roles.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems and components, ensuring they meet technical specifications.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and systems engineers to document requirements and criteria.
• Create and maintain CAD models and perform thermal/hydraulic calculations.
• Develop design documentation and perform system engineering processes for project deliverables.
• Lead engineers and manage external partners through development life cycle.
