Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking a Medium Voltage Field Service Technician for field installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of MV electrical distribution equipment across utility, industrial, commercial, and mission-critical facilities.

The role requires 3+ years in MV electrical work, knowledge of switchgear, transformers, protective relays, UPS/ATS, and the ability to travel to customer sites. Strong safety and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
3+ years of experience working with medium voltage electrical equipment.
Experience commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, protective relays, substations, power distribution systems, UPS, ATS, and standby generators.

Responsibilities

Perform field testing, commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of medium voltage equipment.
Service and inspect switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, protective relays, motor control equipment, and power distribution systems.
Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance activities on electrical infrastructure.
Perform acceptance testing, relay testing, insulation resistance testing, and power system diagnostics.
Interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, protection drawings, and equipment documentation.
Support energization, outage planning, and startup activities.
Coordinate with customers, project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project success.
Prepare service reports, test documentation, and commissioning records.
Maintain compliance with safety requirements (OSHA, NFPA).
