Job summary

You will be cross-trained in millwrighting, pipefitting, welding, sheet metal, civil trades, and will operate hoists, forklifts, and other equipment. A high school diploma or GED and 2–4 years related experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 2–4 years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.

Responsibilities

• Examine objects and facilities to determine needed installations or repairs.
• Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Dismantles machines and moves machinery and equipment using hoist, dollies, rollers, airbags, and forklifts.
• Assembles and installs equipment such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails.
• Constructs foundation for machines; insert shims, adjust tension on nuts and bolts, using hand tools and measuring instruments.
