Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is hiring a Sr Mobile Diesel Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light and advanced repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose, repair and document work using our TRAIT/iOS tools.

Headquartered in Cox Fleet's nationwide network, this role requires strong diesel mechanical/electrical knowledge, ability to manage parts on a service truck, and effective communication with clients, with day shifts and remote-friendly options

Qualifications

• Experience performing DOT inspections and PM on trucks and trailers.
• Strong diagnostic skills for electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to document work clearly using company tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on trucks and trailers.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and document results in the RO system.
• Manage parts inventory on the service truck and communicate estimates to management.
• Maintain safety checks and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT policies.
