Job summary

Harford Crisis Response is seeking a Lead Mobile Crisis Counselor in Bel Air, MD. The role is full-time, in-person, with a schedule Monday–Friday and afterhours coverage as needed. The incumbent will provide mobile crisis services while leading the Mobile Crisis Team and coordinating with OMH/CSA.

Requirements include 1.5–2 years in mobile crisis or crisis work and a licensed MSW or equivalent. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential to support the community’s behavioral

Qualifications

• 1.5–2 years as mobile crisis counselor or crisis-related work.
• Licensed master level social worker or equivalent licensure.
• Ability to operate agency vehicles and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis interventions to deescalate urgent situations.
• Collaborate with care team and community partners on treatment planning.
• Coordinate client follow-up and resource referrals to support recovery.
• Train and mentor MCT staff and ensure shifts are covered, including afterhours.
