Job summary

Fortify Companies' Insurcomm Restoration division seeks a Lead Mitigation Technician (Crew Chief Level) to direct emergency restoration projects in Wilmington, NC. You will lead crews, enforce safety and IICRC standards, and ensure high-quality work for fire, water, mold, and storm damage.

As a field-based, full-time position, you will respond to incidents, develop drying plans, coordinate with clients and internal teams, and mentor junior technicians while maintaining efficient operations

Qualifications

• Leads a mitigation crew and manages job-site workflow.
• IICRC WRT certification or willingness to obtain immediately.
• Experienced in restoration, mitigation, or construction.
• Strong communication and customer service mindset.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise mitigation crews on residential and commercial sites.
• Respond to emergency mitigation calls and assess damage.
• Perform water extraction, structural drying, and mitigation per industry standards.
• Develop drying plans and monitor equipment placement.
