Job summary

Fortify Companies is seeking a Lead Mitigation Technician (Crew Chief Level) in Hooksett, NH, to lead emergency restoration crews on fire, water, mold, and storm projects. You will set safety standards, supervise field operations, and ensure efficient, compliant work with IICRC guidelines.

You will mentor junior techs, coordinate with the Contents Division, and document progress using PSA and industry software to deliver timely recoveries for clients.

Qualifications

• IICRC WRT certification or willingness to obtain immediately.
• Prior experience in restoration, mitigation, or construction.
• Ability to lead a crew and manage job-site workflow.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
• Strong communication, leadership, and customer service mindset.
• Acceptable driving record and reliable attendance.
• Navigate Teams and document onsite using industry software.
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive, solution-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise mitigation crews on residential and commercial sites.
• Respond to emergency mitigation calls and assess damage from fire, water, mold, weather.
• Perform water extraction, structural drying, and mitigation per IICRC.
• Develop drying plans and monitor equipment placement and moisture targets.
• Safely remove damaged materials and decontaminate spaces.
• Collaborate with Contents Division to pack and store salvageable items.
• Document progress with photos, moisture readings, and notes in PSA.
• Communicate clearly with clients, adjusters, and internal teams.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites; manage tools and equipment.
• Train and mentor technicians to uphold standards; follow protocols.
• Document consumables and equipment usage per warehouse/vehicle rules.
