Job summary

STRM Recruiting is assisting a Phoenix-based client in locating an experienced MEP professional to lead on-site electrical systems for a $100M+ data center project. In this leadership role, you will coordinate trade partners, ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and drive timely completion.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years with a general contractor on large commercial projects, strong MEP knowledge, and proven project management experience using Procore and MS Office.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management or related degree.
• 8–10 years with a GC on large-scale commercial projects; ≥5 years in supervisory/PM/Superintendent roles.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems incl. high-voltage, emergency power, lighting, grounding; BMS a plus.
• Procore proficiency and MS Office (Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the on-site MEP installation team for a $100M+ data center project.
• Be main point of contact for MEP activities with PMs, GC, trade partners, and vendors.
• Coordinate work between trade partners and commercial teams per schedule and safety/quality standards.
• Ensure scopes meet quality, codes, and specifications.
• Perform regular inspections for compliance with regs (local, state, federal).
• Maintain safety by enforcing OSHA standards and best practices.
• Track progress, identify delays, and keep project on schedule.
• Resolve coordination issues and foster collaboration across teams.
