Job summary

DeBra-Kuempel seeks a Project Manager to oversee projects from preconstruction through completion, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and budget control. The role collaborates with superintendents, estimators, safety personnel, field leadership, and unions to manage manpower, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and site logistics while representing the company with owners, contractors, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of recent relevant experience in mechanical construction field.
• Proven leadership abilities in union mechanical environment.
• Familiarity with local unions and apprenticeship structures.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Proficiency in construction management and estimating software.
• Strong MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, coordinate, and oversee projects from preconstruction through completion, within safety, schedule, and budget.
• Represent the company in meetings with owners, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate manpower, sequencing, productivity, safety, and subcontractors.
• Oversee field operations, site visits, and supervision of field crews.
• Manage project documentation such as RFIs, submittals, change orders, and permits.
• Lead project startup, kickoff meetings, and weekly crew meetings.
• Contribute to preplanning: work sequencing, materials handling, procurement, and equipment planning.
• Strategically manage materials, tools, and equipment to ensure project flow and cost control.
• Ensure compliance with safety programs and codes; maintain safe job sites.
• Monitor project performance via productivity tracking, cash flow, job cost reporting, and forecasts.
• Identify risks and advise on mitigations.
• Support estimating/preconstruction with walkthroughs and quotes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
