Job summary

DeBra-Kuempel is seeking an experienced Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and oversee projects from preconstruction through completion. The role ensures safety, on-schedule delivery, and budget adherence while collaborating with superintendents, estimators, safety teams, and unions.

You will manage manpower, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and site logistics, representing the company with owners and vendors.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of field operations and project execution experience in mechanical construction.
• Proven leadership in a union environment with strong negotiation and decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with labor coordination, apprentice structures, and local unions.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs, and blueprints; support estimating/preconstruction.
• Proficiency with construction management and estimating software; strong MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee projects from preconstruction through completion within schedule, safety, and budget.
• Represent the company in meetings with owners, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and site logistics.
• Supervise field operations, site visits, and shutdowns/outages; mentor field crews.
• Manage RFI’s, submittals, change orders, permits, and closeout docs.
• Lead project startup, kickoff meetings, and regular progress/crew meetings.
• Assist with preplanning: sequencing, procurement, and equipment planning.
• Control project flow and costs; monitor productivity and safety compliance.
• Identify risks and schedule impacts; advise on mitigations and corrective actions.
