The role also focuses on ensuring the safe transport of lab materials and specimens while complying with applicable regulations.

The candidate will assist in education of students and new staff, participate in performance improvement initiatives, and maintain instrument maintenance records, aligning with CAP and CLSI

Responsibilities

• Coordinate phlebotomist workflow in Specimen Processing.
• Serve as Charge Medical Technologist in absence of supervisor/Lead MT.
• Ensure accurate and efficient transport of lab supplies, equipment and specimens.
• Follow laws and regulations in processing and transportation of lab specimens.
• Adhere to regulatory guidelines for handling and processing specimens.
• Ensure proper patient labeling and identification on all specimens.
