This full-time role requires 3–5 years in a medical office, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and solid experience with EMR systems. You will greet patients, verify demographics, schedule appointments, and maintain accurate records

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 3-5 years of customer service experience in a medical office.
• Knowledge of EMR and other medical office software.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients; verify demographics and insurance.
• Answer phones, direct inquiries, and triage urgent needs.
• Oversee daily admin staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Coordinate training for clerical staff.
• Monitor staff performance and provide education and tools.
• Schedule and manage appointments; handle rescheduling/cancellations.
• Verify insurance information and authorizations.
• Assist with patient registration and data entry.
• Maintain accurate EMR and paper records.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Participate in staff meetings and development.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and vendors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
