Job summary

AdventHealth Davenport Laboratory is seeking a skilled professional to lead training for new staff and students, ensuring high standards in testing and safety. You will guide staff, participate in improvement activities, and supervise quality controls while maintaining documentation and compliance across the lab.

Responsibilities include pre-analytical and analytical testing, instrument maintenance, and interpreting complex results.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology.
2+ years of technical experience.
Ability to communicate in English (verbal and written).
Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office; ability to maintain patient documentation and testing records.

Responsibilities

Provide orientation and training to new employees and medical technology students, acting as a preceptor.
Guide technical and support staff; resolve customer service issues and support education for clinical staff.
Follow safety policies including PPE, handwashing, and hazardous chemical handling.
Participate in performance improvement activities; assist management with special projects.
Oversee training and competency evaluations; manage quality control and QA testing.
