Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Lead Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) for Southampton Medical Center. The role involves performing a full range of laboratory testing and delivering quality results to physicians using diverse clinical equipment.

The Lead MLT supports the Technical Specialist, assists with new procedures, and helps coordinate proficiency testing to meet deadlines, while boosting workflow efficiency and accuracy within the lab.

Qualifications

• MLS certification or ASCP certification is required.
• 4+ years of technical experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• 2 years of leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs the duties of a Medical Laboratory Technician.
• Assists with implementation of new procedures and policies.
• Coordinates proficiency testing to ensure timely analysis and review.
• Recommends system changes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Manages daily schedules and timekeeping for the department.
• Fulfills compliance responsibilities related to the position.
