Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Lead Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) at Southampton Medical Center to oversee a full range of laboratory testing and provide physicians with quality results using diverse clinical lab equipment.

The Lead MLT supports the Technical Specialist, ensuring efficient operations and compliance while mentoring technicians and coordinating proficiency testing to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Associates of Science in Medical Lab Technology or higher.
• MLS/ASCP certification required.
• 4+ years of clinical lab experience.
• 2 years leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties of a Medical Laboratory Technician.
• Assists with implementation of new procedures and policies.
• Coordinates proficiency testing to meet deadlines.
• Suggests system changes to improve workflow efficiency.
• Manages schedules and timekeeping for daily operations.
• Complies with all applicable regulations and responsibilities.
