Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Lead Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) at Southampton Medical Center. The role oversees a full range of laboratory testing, supporting the Technical Specialist, and ensuring timely, accurate results for physicians.

Responsibilities include supervising technicians, implementing new procedures, coordinating proficiency testing, and driving efficiency in daily operations while maintaining compliance and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must have one of the following: Associate of Science in Medical Lab Technology, 60 semester hours including chemistry and biology with a medical lab technician program, or a 50-week U.S. military medical laboratory training course.
• MLS certification or ASCP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs the duties of a Medical Laboratory Technician.
• Assist Technicians with new procedures and policies.
• Coordinate proficiency testing to meet deadlines and ensure accuracy.
