Qualifications

• BS in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, Biology, or Biochemistry from a CLIA-approved program.
• MLS certification or eligibility by a national certifying body (preferably ASCP).
• 2 years of clinical lab experience required; 5 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform the duties of a Medical Lab Scientist.
• Assist Technical Specialist with implementing new procedures and policies.
• Coordinate proficiency testing to ensure testing is registered, analyzed, and reviewed to meet deadlines.
• Recommend changes to improve efficiency and accuracy of workflow.
• Complete department scheduling and update time/schedule as needed.
• Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
