Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, Biology or Biochemistry through a CLIA approved program (required).
• MLS certification or eligible by a nationally recognized certification agency (ASCP preferred) (required).
• 2 years of clinical lab experience required; 5 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of a Medical Lab Scientist.
• Assist Technical Specialist with new procedures and policies.
• Coordinate proficiency testing to ensure testing is registered, analyzed, and reviewed on deadlines.
• Recommend system changes to improve efficiency and workflow.
• Complete department schedules and update time as needed.
