KC CARE is seeking a Medical Assistant Supervisor to oversee medical assistants, ensure efficient workflow, and uphold high-quality patient care. The role trains and mentors staff, manages daily operations, and collaborates with providers to optimize patient services.

Leadership competencies include people and operations management, strategic leadership, and a commitment to health equity and staff development. Experience as a MA and relevant certifications are required.

Formación

• Five years of experience as a Medical Assistant or equivalent experience.
• Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant certificate program and passed the exam as a CMA.
• Completion of lab training for advanced procedures such as FIT tests.
• Completion of Phlebotomy certification or training.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
• Active certification such as NRCMA, CCMA, CMA.
• Completion of HR supervisory training.

Responsabilidades

• Call patients back to rooms and obtain medical history and chief complaint; perform screening per procedures and quality measures.
• Prepare patients for examinations including vitals, height/weight, vision and hearing; document in EHR.
• Collect specimens and perform on-site lab procedures including vaccinations; maintain knowledge and prepare specimens.
• Administer medications using the 5 Rights of Medication Administration.
• Complete medication reconciliation and allergy verification for every patient.
• Contact patients by phone to deliver lab results and coordinate care.
