Job summary

Salud Para La Gente, Inc. is seeking a dynamic, organized Lead Medical Assistant to lead in the clinic's back office—handling patient intake, assisting practitioners in procedures, minor triage, and maintaining stocked exam rooms. You will also stabilize clinic flow and test/report lab specimens.

The Lead MA provides supervision and training to MAs and contributes to QA and clinic workflows. The ideal candidate is bilingual (Spanish/English), has a Medical Assistant certificate with two years MA

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Medical Assistant certificate required; two years MA experience.
• Fluent bilingual Spanish/English; bicultural preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• California drivers license and insurance; travel between sites possible.

Responsibilities

• Lead in assisting in the clinic's back office, including patient intake and assisting practitioners.
• Monitor patient flow and assist walk-in patients with front office staff and providers.
• Maintain stocked exam rooms and monitor inventory of supplies and medications.
• Back-up to Lead Vaccine MA: inventory, storage and temperature monitoring; vaccine management per policy.
• Ensure lab area and point-of-care tests are performed per guidelines; maintain logs.
• Provide supervision and training to MAs; contribute to quality improvement and clinic workflows.
