Job summary

TETER is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to lead HVAC and plumbing design for commercial and institutional projects, coordinating with architects, engineers, clients, and consultants. You will guide projects from design through construction, ensuring technically excellent, compliant solutions.

You will mentor EITs and junior staff, manage design quality, and support project delivery while navigating client expectations and tight schedules. Hybrid work is available after a trial period.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Five (5) or more years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Current registration as a Mechanical PE in California or ability to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and documentation of HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Perform engineering calculations and equipment selections.
• Coordinate with architects and other disciplines for integrated design.
• Provide construction support through submittals, RFIs, and field observations.
• Mentor EITs, junior engineers, and drafters to support growth.
• Contribute to QA/QC reviews and design standard improvements.
