Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ seeks a senior Mechanical Engineer to own design and development across missile systems. You will lead cross-disciplinary teams, mentor engineers, and drive hardware solutions from concept through production under rigorous standards.

The role requires an active U.S. security clearance and willingness to travel domestically and internationally. On-site work at the Tucson facility is expected.

Qualifications

• STEM degree with 8+ years of experience.
• Experience in GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and tolerance analysis.
• Proficiency with CREO (Pro/E) or similar 3D CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical design, development, and documentation of components for tactical missile systems.
• Lead mechanical engineering teams and collaborate with multiple disciplines.
• Support factory and suppliers with product development and obsolescence.
• Interface with engineering and suppliers to develop design solutions.
• Work with limited supervision to meet schedule and technical goals.
• Participate in design peer reviews and trade studies.
• Apply knowledge in hardware development in a fast-paced team environment.
• Mentor and guide a team of engineers within the program.
