Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to design complex cooling and HVAC systems for data centers and critical facilities. You will lead projects and a team of mechanical engineers, coordinating with multi-discipline teams and clients across locations including Herndon, VA; Tempe, AZ; and Atlanta, GA.

The role requires a PE license, 7+ years of relevant design experience, and strong leadership and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Proven history of mechanical building systems design
• 7+ years designing mechanical systems for high-performing commercial/industrial or data center projects
• PE license required, ability to mentor junior staff

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality technical deliverables for projects and proposals
• Design complex air distribution and hydronic systems for large facilities
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders
• Direct the project team and oversee construction administration and project management activities
• Communicate engineering concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders
