RTX (Raytheon) in Marlborough/Tehksbury, MA, onsite, is seeking an experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design for radar systems across defense programs. The role emphasizes hardware design, integration, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

You will guide projects through concept, design, development, build, and test, manage a small team when needed, and ensure producibility and compliance with military standards.

Formación

• Experience in hardware design for military/aerospace radar systems.
• Knowledge of GD&T applied to complex assemblies.
• Ability to lead design teams and support transition to production.

Responsabilidades

• Utilize mechanical hardware design experience with ruggedized structures and cooling for phased array radars/electronics.
• Develop technical solutions across the product lifecycle from proposal to test and production.
• Lead design release into production and ensure standards compliance.
• Provide technical guidance and remove roadblocks to meet cost, schedule, quality, and performance.
• Work with minimal supervision while setting technical objectives.
• Lead a small team of mechanical engineers when required.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and programs.
