Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Mechanical Controls Hardware Systems Engineer in East Hartford, CT, onsite. You will lead end-to-end requirements across complex mechanical systems, partnering with suppliers, design, software, manufacturing, and leadership to ensure robust component solutions.

The role emphasizes requirements-based engineering, verification planning, and cross-functional collaboration to meet program objectives, with a DoD Secret clearance requirement and a strong focus on safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM is required.
• 8 years of engineering experience or 5 years with an advanced degree.
• Ability to lead a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Lead an Integrated Product Team for Mechanical Product Center components.
• Lead requirements management for Fuel, Actuation, Air & Lube system architectures.
• Provide technical leadership for system components including Pumps, Fuel Controls & actuators.
• Serve as the primary technical interface between internal teams and suppliers.
• Develop verification plans and review supplier proposals.
