Job summary

Staples is seeking a Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator to mentor and train new staff and fill in for supervisors as needed. You’ll operate forklifts and related equipment in a fast-paced warehouse, lifting and moving product while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

You will be essential to Staples Supply Chain as we deliver to customers. Safety is our priority; you’ll model safe work practices, adhere to procedures, and support a culture of continuous improvement in a dynamic

Qualifications

12+ months related experience in a warehouse environment.
Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent permissible legally.
If you are hired as a Full-Time associate, you must have the ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift; overtime hours will be required based on business need.
Ability to lift, push or pull equipment/merchandise weighing up to 100 pounds.
Must wear safety composite work shoes.
Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator: mentor and train new material handlers and fill in for supervisors as needed, operating equipment like forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move product while following safety procedures.
Play a key role in Staples Supply Chain delivering to customers, upholding safety culture and clean, safe work environments.
