Job summary

Staples is seeking a Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator to train and mentor the warehouse team while operating forklifts and other MHE to move product safely. You will fill in for supervisors as needed and ensure a clean, organized workspace.

The role requires lifting up to 100 pounds, passing a drug screen, and willingness to work overtime. A clean safety record and basic English skills are essential to contribute to a safe, efficient distribution environment.

Qualifications

• 12+ months related experience in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to pass a drug screen.
• If hired as a Full-Time associate, must be able to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift, push or pull up to 100 pounds.
• Must wear safety composite work shoes.
• Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor material handlers; train new staff.
• Operate forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move product.
• Maintain a safe, clean workspace and follow safety procedures.
• Fill in for supervisors as needed and support the supply chain team.
• Contribute to Staples' ability to deliver to customers with safety and efficiency.
