Job summary

Staples is seeking a Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator to mentor staff and cover supervisor duties as needed. You will operate forklifts and other equipment to move inventory, while keeping a safe, clean work area in a fast-paced warehouse.

Requirements include 12+ months warehouse experience, ability to pass a drug screen, and lifting up to 100 pounds. Physical stamina and safety shoes are mandatory. Shift is 4:00pm–12:00am Thu-Sat.

Qualifications

• 12+ months related experience in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to pass a drug screen where legally permissible.
• Ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift when needed.
• Lift, push or pull up to 100 pounds.
• Must wear safety composite work shoes.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and train new material handlers and fill in for supervisors as needed.
• Operate material handling equipment safely (forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, electric pallet jacks).
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace in a fast-paced warehouse.
• Move product within the warehouse following safety procedures.
