Job summary

Staples, Inc. is seeking a Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator to mentor new staff and cover supervisory duties as needed. You will safely operate forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, and electric pallet jacks to move product in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and reliable operations to support Staples' supply chain and customer delivery. Must be at least 18, with 12+ months warehouse experience and ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications

• 12+ months related experience in a warehouse environment; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience.
• Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent permissible legally.
• If you are hired as a Full-Time associate, you must have the ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift; additional overtime hours will be required based on business need.
• Ability to lift, push or pull equipment/merchandise weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Must wear safety composite work shoes.
• Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator, mentoring and training new material handlers and filling in for supervisors as needed.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, electric pallet jacks) safely to move product within the warehouse.
• Maintain a safe, clean workspace and follow safety procedures.
• Support Staples Supply Chain in delivering to customers and uphold safety culture.
