Job summary

Staples is seeking a Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator to mentor and train new team members while supervising safe, efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. You will operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets or electric pallet jacks, and ensure a clean, safe work environment in a fast-paced setting.

Basic English communication, a minimum of 12 months warehouse experience or equivalent training, and a commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• 12+ months related experience in a warehouse environment or equivalent training/education.
• Ability to pass a drug screen where legally permitted.
• Ability to work overtime as needed in a full-time role.
• Lift, push or pull up to 100 pounds.
• Must wear safety shoes and be able to stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator: mentor and train new material handlers and fill in for supervisors as needed.
• Operate forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets or electric pallet jacks to move product.
• Maintain a safe, clean workspace and follow safety procedures.
• Support Staples Supply Chain operations to deliver to customers.
