Job summary

Staples is seeking a Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator to mentor and train new material handlers in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You’ll operate forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, and electric pallet jacks to move product while following strict safety procedures.

You will play a key role in Staples Supply Chain, ensuring safe practices, efficient processes, and a clean work area. The role requires physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds, walk/stand during shift, and pass a drug

Qualifications

• 12+ months related experience in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to pass a drug screen where legally permissible.
• Full-time associates may require additional hours beyond scheduled shifts.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Must wear safety composite work shoes.
• Must be able to walk and stand 100% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator, mentor and train new material handlers and fill in for supervisors as needed.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, electric pallet jacks) to move product safely.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace and uphold Staples safety culture.
