Job summary

Staples, Inc. is seeking a Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator in Sharon, MA. You will mentor new material handlers, train teams, and occasionally substitute for supervisors while operating forklifts and other equipment to move products within the warehouse.

You will uphold safety practices, manage a clean work area, and foster collaboration to resolve issues. The role requires 18+, lifting up to 100 lb, and the ability to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 12+ months related experience in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to pass a drug screen where legally permissible.
• Must be able to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift as needed.
• Ability to lift, push or pull up to 100 pounds.
• Must wear safety composite work shoes.
• Ability to stand/walk 100% of the time.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator: mentor and train new material handlers and fill in for supervisors.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, pallet jacks) to move product safely.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace and follow safety procedures.
• Support Staples Supply Chain in delivering to customers.
