Job summary

Sysco Boston, LLC is seeking an Operations Technician to oversee the safe operation, daily monitoring, and maintenance of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and industrial batteries. The role requires hands-on leadership and strong technical skills in electrical and mechanical systems.

Applicants should have six years in MHE maintenance, a valid driver's license, and relevant certifications. The position offers full benefits, an incentive plan, and a sign-on bonus up to $7,000.

Qualifications

• Six years in an MHE maintenance role.
• Valid state Driver’s License and liability coverage.
• Sysco-approved defensive driving program.
• Powered Industrial Equipment Certification within 3 months.
• MHE 8 hour maintenance certificate from OEM.
• Trade electrical I & II training (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of MHE Technician III.
• Provide supervisory support when senior staff are unavailable.
• Mentor MHE Tech I/II/III to higher roles.
• Make decisions on MHE repairs with guidance from leadership.
• Report daily to Director Fleet/Facilities Maintenance.
• Maintain PMs and battery maintenance for MHE fleet.
• Log time and materials in CMMS daily.
• Ensure safety policies and OSHA compliance.
