Job summary

Champion Foods is seeking a working lead for production to oversee material handling and guide the line crew toward safety, quality and efficiency. You'll train teammates, manage schedules, monitor metrics, and partner with QA and HR to develop staff while ensuring compliance with GMPs, FDA/USDA regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing/operational, packaging or distribution environments.
• Working knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, FDA/USDA and OSHA requirements.
• Ability to mentor and train others and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor in monitoring material handling metrics and implement improvements.
• Create production line schedules and direct workflow for lines and colleagues.
• Monitor safety and food safety adherence during material handling activities.
• Train new material handling staff and ensure correct operation of powered vehicles.
• Ensure compliance with FDA/USDA/OSHA regulations and report issues to management.
• Collaborate with supervisor to enforce company policies and promote safe, fair work environment.
• Lead team meetings and contribute to performance appraisals and development discussions.
• Support quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
