Job summary

Champion Foods LLC in Michigan is seeking a working lead to assist the supervisor in overseeing the production workforce, directing operations, and driving quality and food safety initiatives. The role may lead up to 8 associates and focuses on practical execution of operations and equipment handling.

You will mentor, train, and monitor colleagues, ensure safety standards are followed, and collaborate with HR on development and policy compliance. Weekend/holiday coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing/production or distribution environments.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, FDA, USDA and OSHA requirements.
• Ability to mentor and train others.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor with monitoring material handling metrics and improvements.
• Create production line schedules and direct workflow for assigned lines.
• Ensure safety and food safety procedures are followed by colleagues.
• Provide training on powered industrial vehicles and safety standards.
• Involve in regulatory compliance and document issues.
• Provide results and recommendations to management.
• Support leadership training and performance development.
