Job summary

Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) seeks a Management Analyst II to support the Division of Developmental Disabilities Services (DDDS) Community Services team within the Client Benefits unit. The role involves acting as a liaison to the Social Security Administration to ensure critical paperwork is completed by due dates and that issues are resolved promptly to avoid benefit disruption.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting studies to evaluate operations, programs, services, policies and procedures to determine efficiency and compliance.
• Experience with descriptive statistics (mean, median, mode, std deviation).
• Ability to interpret laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies and procedures.
• Ability to write narrative reports.
• Understanding study design goals, data sources, sampling and data collection methods.

Responsibilities

• Interview agency staff and observe work processes to gather data for evaluating services and compliance.
• Review and interpret collected data to evaluate policies, procedures, and operations.
• Analyze data and develop alternative methods or solutions where needed.
• Assess effectiveness of operations in meeting goals and objectives.
• Provide technical assistance in understanding and developing management objectives and controls.
• Study relevant regulations and administrative orders.
• Recommend new techniques or procedures to improve operations and resource use.
• Document findings and propose implementation of new systems or changes.
• May supervise administrative or paraprofessional staff.
