Zusammenfassung

The Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) and the Home and Community Living Administration (HCLA) seek a Legislative and Policy Analyst to monitor legislation, analyze bills, and coordinate legislative activity across the administration. During sessions, you’ll review bill analyses and track progress to keep the department on top of legislative impacts.

You will provide expert policy analysis, brief leadership, and liaise with sponsors, tribes, and partners, ensuring timely responses

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in political science, public administration, business administration, social work, health or social science, or related field.
• At least 5 years of work experience in the long-term care arena including Medicaid laws, regulations, and policies.

Aufgaben

• Conduct research and analysis to support policy and program development.
• Provides advanced-level policy analysis, technical assistance and subject matter expertise to DSHS, HCLA staff, and business partners.
• Act as subject matter expert on legislative matters where information may be unclear but decisions impact programs.
• Explain legislation and their policy/financial impacts to the public, stakeholders and state partners.
• Coordinate meetings with sponsors, stakeholders and tribes to garner support and track legislation.
