Job summary

Maryland Department of Human Services (DHS) seeks an experienced data analyst to support the State and monitor local implementation of improvement plans. The role focuses on data entry, peer reviews, and ensuring accuracy of reporting for program quality and compliance.

The position supports Harford County In Home Services, with responsibilities spanning data trends, audits, and collaboration with the Assistant Director to inform decisions.

Qualifications

• Six years of experience in administration of a human services program or in studies/analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations.
• Two years of experience in administration of a human services program or in studies/analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations.
• Four years of professional or technical experience in administration of a human services program or studies/analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations.
• Substitution options include Bachelor's degree with two years of related experience; graduate level education; or military experience in related fields.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to internal and external customers meeting DHS standards.
• Analyze data and generate reports from sources including program compliance and audits; identify trends and root causes to improve monitoring and reporting.
• Plan and modify strategies to resolve compliance deficiencies; develop tools to convey statistics to leadership; stay updated on policy changes.
• Perform independent case reviews and provide feedback to address issues brought to the attention of the Assistant Director; other duties as assigned.
