Peabody Properties seeks an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician for an apartment community in Boston, MA. The role requires overseeing routine and emergency maintenance across multiple trades, coordinating with the Service Manager, and ensuring timely, quality repairs.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in facilities maintenance, strong communication skills, and a reliable vehicle for on-site duties. A comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years in facilities maintenance or related field.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
• Solid computer skills.
• Excellent customer service skills are a must.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventative and emergency maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliances.
• Handle locks and keys and basic carpentry tasks.
• Paint and drywall repair; janitorial, grounds and snow removal duties as needed.
• Respond to maintenance issues promptly and communicate clearly with the Service Manager.
• Provide on-call coverage for emergencies after hours, weekends and holidays.
