Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking a Lead Maintenance to oversee the maintenance of our property under the Community Manager. You will perform repairs in resident apartments, maintain building systems, and assist in preparing units for rent (make-ready).

The role requires at least two years of full-time apartment maintenance experience, strong English communication, and EPA certification. You will supervise subcontractors, manage preventive maintenance, and support on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of full-time experience in apartment maintenance or a trade with basic electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC.
• Strong English communication skills (verbal and written). Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• EPA refrigerant certification is required.
• Own a basic set of hand tools and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests within 24 hours.
• Perform HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks as needed.
• Prepare units for rent (make-ready) and refurbish apartments prior to occupancy.
• Supervise subcontractors and coordinate with vendors for maintenance tasks.
• Inspect and maintain building systems, sprinkler, pool, and safety equipment.
• Assist in preventive maintenance and respond to on-call duties as required.
