Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking a Lead Maintenance to oversee the property maintenance operations under the Community Manager. You will perform repairs in resident apartments and assist in preparing units for rent (make-ready).

The role requires hands-on work across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting, with responsibility for supervising subcontractors and maintaining common areas. We value experience in apartment maintenance, English communication, and a proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time experience in apartment maintenance or a related trade.
• Strong verbal and written English communication; bilingual Spanish a plus.
• EPA refrigerant handling certification is required.
• Own a basic set of hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance requests within 24 hours.
• Perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks as needed.
• Supervise subcontractors and coordinate with the Community Manager.
• Make-ready apartments prior to resident move-in and assist with inspections.
• Maintain pool chemical levels and perform preventive maintenance across the property.
