Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking a Lead Maintenance to oversee property upkeep under the Community Manager and to perform repairs in resident apartments, including make-ready before occupancy.

The role requires at least two years of maintenance experience, English communication skills, EPA certification, and a basic toolset. Valid driver's license and some travel may be required. Weekend work is possible.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years full-time experience in apartment maintenance or related trade.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English; bilingual Spanish a plus.
• EPA (refrigerant, transition, and recovery) certification.
• Own a basic set of hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record and auto insurance.
• Ability to work at other locations and travel within major metros, possible overnight stays.
• Ability to work some weekends as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Address resident requests within 24 hours.
• Assist in distributing flyers and materials.
• Replace filters and clean HVAC vents as needed.
• Maintain sprinkler systems and perform HVAC repairs.
• Perform light electrical repairs on appliances, fixtures, switches and outlets.
• Perform light plumbing tasks such as stoppages and fittings.
• Replace broken glass, tiles, carpets, fixtures, appliances, blinds, locks and bulbs.
• Paint interior and exterior surfaces when required.
• Carry out carpentry tasks such as doors, shelving, and flooring refinishing.
• Support custodial work in common areas and assist in vacancy readiness.
