Job summary

Ventura Foods in Saginaw, TX is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to maintain and optimize packaging and processing equipment in a food manufacturing environment. You will train other mechanics, reduce downtime, and ensure compliance with GMP/FSMA and food safety standards.

The position requires 5–10 years of advanced mechanical troubleshooting, strong leadership skills, and proficiency with hand tools, meters, and CAD drawings. Onsite work with potential travel.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment in a food manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of GMP/FSMA policies and food safety practices.
• Ability to train and mentor other maintenance staff.
• Proficient use of hand/power tools and measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective and emergency maintenance on packaging/processing equipment to maximize uptime.
• Complete preventive maintenance and document activities and work orders.
• Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues using specialized skills.
• Repair/rebuild pumps, mills, gearboxes and related components.
• Train teammates and document training sessions.
• Ensure CIP processes are followed with complete documentation.
• Comply with GMP/FSMA and food safety requirements.
• Travel may be required.
