Job summary

Ventura Foods in Saginaw, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for repairs and preventative maintenance of packaging and refinery equipment. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, follow GMP and FSMA policies, and assist in training junior techs.

The role requires 5–10 years of experience with PLCs, AC/DC troubleshooting, and a strong safety culture. This onsite position offers a second shift and a supportive team, with opportunities to contribute to uptime and food

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 5-10 years of experience working with and troubleshooting PLCs, AC/DC electrical troubleshooting on food packaging/processing equipment and production/processing machine repair.
• Strong understanding of GMP, FSMA and food safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Uses mechanical skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair.
• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and coordinates with other mechanics.
• Installs, repairs, overhauls, and maintains electrical and mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery.
• Performs routine preventative maintenance and repairs when not on breakdowns.
• Diagnoses and repairs electrical, electronic, and mechanical components throughout the facility.
• Follows all food safety policies and regulatory criteria including SQF, GMPs, and FSMA.
