Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking a Maintenance Technician 3 to lead preventative maintenance and troubleshoot building and material handling systems. You will train technicians, design maintenance solutions, and support the Operations team in achieving department goals.

The role requires 5+ years experience with conveyors and electrical systems, plus an Associates or higher degree in Mechanical or Electrical fields. Strong communication, safety focus, and ability to mentor staff are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 5+ years of experience with conveyors, electrical systems, & building maintenance.
• Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of operation and repair of material handling equipment.
• Advanced knowledge of power tools, pneumatic, or hydraulic tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to use technology such as smart phones, tablets, computers, web-based applications, building automation systems, etc.
• Basic knowledge of controls systems & PLCs. ( preferred)
• Robotic knowledge – (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Act as a safety champion and promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair all aspects of material handling systems & conveyors (such as motor/ reducer issues, belt tracker, belt lacing
• Diagnose, using test equipment, electrical and electronic control systems and other related equipment, devices or components
