Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking a Maintenance Tech 2 in Oregon to execute preventative maintenance and troubleshoot building and material handling systems. You will design maintenance solutions, help with projects, and support department goals.

The role involves leading maintenance procedures, assisting in training plans, and generating detailed work orders. Applicants should have 3+ years of conveyors and electrical experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with conveyors, electrical systems and building maintenance.
• Advanced knowledge of operation and repair of material handling equipment.
• Advanced knowledge of power tools, pneumatic or hydraulic tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of controls systems & PLCs (preferred).
• Robotics knowledge (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair material handling systems and conveyors.
• Diagnose electrical and electronic control systems with test equipment.
• Maintain relay logic, ladder diagrams, and control components.
• Safely operate forklifts, lifts and hand tools to support tasks.
• Lead preventative maintenance procedures.
• Assist in leading training plans for service technicians.
• Create and close out work orders with labor hours, parts used.
