Job summary

LINK is seeking a Service Manager to lead a maintenance team at Southpointe Apartments in Shreveport, LA. You will oversee a wide range of repairs and make-readies to keep residents satisfied and units move-in ready.

You will also manage vendor relationships, plan maintenance budgets, and ensure safety and compliance across the property. The role requires hands-on experience, on-call readiness, and strong leadership to drive operational excellence.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of maintenance and repair experience in residential, retail, or commercial property management.
• At least 1 year leading a maintenance team.
• Technical skills in carpentry, painting, plastering, HVAC, and electrical work.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• HVAC certification preferred but not required.
• On-call emergency maintenance availability as needed.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation to and from work and on-call duties.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the completion of tenant service requests and make-ready processes.
• Ensure the community meets exterior aesthetics standards.
• Manage and lead a team of skilled technicians.
• Coordinate vendor and sub-contractor projects within the community.
• Build and execute a community maintenance budget.
• Ensure maintenance meets company quality standards at all times.
• Oversee daily operations and ensure grounds and property are in superior condition.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations and safety standards.
• Plan and conduct team meetings and training as needed.
