Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for its distribution center. The role coordinates daily maintenance activities, analyzes performance, and implements improvement plans to ensure safe, efficient operations.

The position requires supervisory experience, expertise with conveyor/sortation systems, and strong communication skills to collaborate with Maintenance Manager and HR. On-call availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read diagrams, maintenance drawings and related documents.
• Knowledge of safety, cash handling and deposits processes.
• Experience with IBM cash registers and reporting.
• Understanding of conveyor, sort view and related systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Minimum two years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities of the maintenance department to ensure rapid repair responses.
• Review inbound/outbound reports and adjust department planning as needed.
• Plan daily production goals for the maintenance team.
• Identify obstacles to performance via floor observations.
• Review staffing plans and determine appropriate levels per shift.
• Establish work schedules based on preventive maintenance requirements.
• Conduct sortation audits and analyze results for adjustments.
• Provide training for maintenance staff.
• Support safety programs with the safety committee and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Assist with department budget and coordinate with HR.
