Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep all machines and equipment in working order, troubleshoot lift trucks, conveyors, and related systems, and perform preventative maintenance in a fast-paced Distribution Center environment.

This role requires reading blueprints, basic math, and proficiency with shop tools; it includes building repairs, safety compliance, and uptime support across Dollar General facilities.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Electricity 1 (Basic) and Electricity IV motor controls and AC/DC Electrical Controls.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Good math and computer skills.
• Competency to operate sortview, RTC, HSM, VFD, and RTS systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs lift trucks, pallet jacks and cat fork trucks, including hydraulics and basic programming.
• Troubleshoots and repairs conveyor systems, electrical and mechanical components; may work with GMS/RTC/RTS.
• Performs preventative maintenance and routine building repairs.
• Operates equipment battery change equipment; maintains safety and productivity standards.
• Repairs racking and may operate scrubber/sweeper; adheres to safety guidelines.
